Your child will have a blast with this phonics review class!

Below you will find out what your child will learn when they sign up for our Phonics Blast Class. This class is being offered through South Lyon Area Recreation during the Winter of 2016. After your child takes the class, the learning doesn't stop. Below, you will find all the tools you need to help your child become an expert when using basic and advanced phonics rules. Expect your child to have fun, both in class and at home, as they use fun "hands-on" activities to become better readers. For children who already are familiar with these sounds, this class will build reading fluency and comprehension. For beginners, this class is a great introduction to phonics. Children who take this class should know their consonant sounds and short vowel sounds. If you do not plan to have your child take this class, these are still great resources you can use to teach your child these skills at home. You can create and use the board with your child on your own. You will find everything you need below.

Here is the link for buying the magnets with the sounds:

They sell a magnet board on this site as well. Although, I recommend getting the magnets first. From there you can buy any magnetic board, or use a magnetic baking pan. I wish I had waited, because I feel the board I purchased was on the small side. I prefer having a nice big work area for building words.
